I have been collecting a few projects to share with you. I had a lot of fun making them and thought you might like to see them too.
This one I made for a friends birthday earlier this year. It is a pretty simple felt and ribbon bookmark with stitching to add a little interest. Original idea found here with a complete tutorial.
Next is an up-cycled project made from baby clothes. The fabric is applied with iron on bonding and then sewn around the edge to secure in place. I gave these cute onsies to a lovely lady in our ward who just had a little boy.
Here is a closer look at each one.
I made this little tote a few weeks ago. This sewing project was a little more challenging but still a lot of fun. I originally saw the idea here with complete instructions and template. The only change I made was to add a handle so it could be used as a purse.
Lastly is this little recycled DVD case Art kit. I made it last weekend for a friend of Donaven’s that is in his primary class. I thought this was a really creative twist on the old crayon roll standby. I especially liked that it held paper in the little inside clips perfectly.
I lined a drawstring bag with my favorite flannel and it made a nice little reusable gift bag. You can find the tutorial for the Art kit here.
Well that’s a wrap for now. I would love to hear your thought on the projects! Thanks for reading…
