Yummy...

This is my little E proudly displaying his new found skills. This boy sure can eat! And he has the chunky legs to prove it. I can't believe he is all ready 6 months old. He is growing and changing so quickly. I just love those big blue eyes. Don't you?

Snow Day!

Snow days in Texas are few and far between so when a winter storm was in the forecast for today church was cancelled after sacrament and we went home and anxiously waited ...

Donaven was so excited to see the snow he immediately wanted to go out and play. Even Emerson got all bundled up and went out to play in the snow for the first time.

Dad and Donaven worked hard on their little snowmen. Isn't he cute!

All in all it was a lovely Sunday.

New Schedule

Well its nap time and my little E is actually sleeping in bed all on his own. Something that doesn't happen often. There are many things I should be doing at the moment. Such as folding and putting away the five loads of laundry that are mounding up on my recliner. Or hand washing my lovely new pots that are overflowing my kitchen sink at the moment. (They are not dishwasher safe...) Lets not even get started on the state of my floors. Yes they are pretty sad, but instead I am taking as few precious moments to put some exciting thoughts down here on my place of gathering things. I was sitting in my bed this morning with a child in each arm snoozing peacefully when it hit me. What I should do to keep a better record of our life and not forget the things that all ready happened in the past. For now this will be my new schedule;

Mondays - Lessons Learned
(What I gleaned from the week prior.)

Wednesdays - Wake up Wednesdays
(Service projects along with Cheri- I am Momma Hear Me Roar!)

Fridays - Family Fun Night

Sundays - Memory Lane
(Journal about past important or memorable occasions.)

So here's to stretching myself and accomplishing a goal!

New Years Goals

This year I decided I wanted to keep a better record of our life so I made a goal to start a new family blog! This will be my little place to catch a glimpse of us. I want to be better. I want to be accountable and more productive. I want to be able to look back over 2011 and be proud. So here we go!

Yesterday, Sun. Jan. 2nd, my little D got to go to Primary for the first time with the "big kids". Needless to say I was more than a little nervous. He LOVED nursery! So much that he thought the reason we went to church was to play with the toys in nursery. I have been secretly dreading how the transition was going to go.
As you can see he did great! He did more than great. He was so excited to get his own Book of Mormon. I can't believe how quick he is growing up. I am a very happy and proud mom today...
Hopefully this will be the start to an overwhelming joy filled new year!
