Donaven's 4th Birthday Party

Its only been four years since this little guy made me a mommy for the first time. It has been an adventure every step of the way since that amazing day.

Fast forward to today and you are still bringing love, and light to my world. Happy Fourth Birthday to my not so little boy. I hope you felt celebrated today!















We kept his party a low key family affair. He planned every part himself. Cupcakes, Cars 2 the movie, dinner at McDonald's, and a surprise visit to Santa land!

Thanksgiving

We started of the day with festive turkey toast compliments of Brandon.

Then we enjoyed the Macy's parade a favorite tradition of mine.

Later that afternoon at Moriah's home we all gathered for a Thanksgiving feast. I contributed the rolls this year.

After lunch we headed out for another Mathis Family tradition, baseball.





The boys played there little hearts out until it was time to go home. Which Emerson did in style in his new, fancy, forward, facing car seat.

Gratitude

Do you have any one item that you just love? I mean LOVE! You use it everyday and it makes your life easier. Well I do and I am so grateful to have it fully functioning again...

Thanks to Brandon for ordering a new wheel after my little mishap with backing over it. But that is a different story!

Puppy Love

They were very cute but we aren't really dog people. So it was nice to visit when our friends dog had puppies. Love on them for a bit and leave them.

Jefferson

Brandon requested that I run an errand in Jefferson for him. After taking care of the things we needed the boys and I looked around and found a few new nooks and crannies along the path to our favorite stop in Jefferson, The General Store! If you've never been to Jefferson, it is a fun little town with charm. Take a look...

Primary Presentation

Donaven got to participate in the primary presentation this year. He memorized his lines. "I will follow Jesus Christ by praying." I think his favorite part was practicing on the stand.

Then Sunday morning came. The day of the presentation and all smiles were gone and he wouldn't sing to save his life. I think it might of had something to do with having copious amounts of sugar and staying up all night after a fun filled evening at the Trunk-or-Treat. Oh well live and learn.

Trunk-Or-Treat

Donaven decided last fall that he wanted to be a penguin for Halloween.

I thought it would be fun to dress up as a family. What would go better with a penguin that Mary Poppins and Chimney Sweeps?













We set up a ring toss in the trunk with my spooky
ghost lanterns and passed out treats.



I manned the trunk and Brandon took the boys around collecting goodies. It was so much fun. I can't wait for next year. Starting to plan it as we speak! I hope you had a spooktakular Halloween!!!
