Celebrating at the Beach

 

The Saturday before fathers day we took the whole family (plus Renee’) out to Lake of the Pines to celebrate in the sand & sun.

     

Covered in sand we then made are way out to the water to cool off a bit.

    

Donaven & Renee got pretty adventurous and swam quite a distance out from the beach.

 

But don’t worry Brandon was close by keeping an eye on everything.

 

When we first got to the lake the weather was perfect. Blue skies and beautiful!

 

After a few hours these ominous thunder clouds rolled in and it started lightning so we rounded everyone up and headed to the car.

Even though it was cut short we still had a fabulous time hanging out at the beach together!

Splash Pad day with Renee!

One of my kids favorite things to do is to play at the Spring Hill Splash Pad. Add their awesome cousin Renee in the mix and it was one of the highlights of their summer. Take a look at our fun in the sun!

Smiles all around, I would say that it was a pretty successful day!

To kick start our cousin fun week off we loaded up the kids in the car and headed to the zoo. Despite the high temperatures everyone really enjoyed themselves.

We fed the ducks…

and the birdies.

Made friends with a few goats…

and chatted with the parrots.

Took turns pushing the stroller.

and had a little ice cream break to cool off.

Funniest part of the day would have to be hearing Emerson yell to these guys, “Hi cow…MOOO!!!”

We even went back to see the snakes and penguins twice. Yeah for air conditioned exhibits!!!
