Primary Presentation

Donaven got to participate in the primary presentation this year. He memorized his lines. "I will follow Jesus Christ by praying." I think his favorite part was practicing on the stand.

Isn't he a little stud in his boots?

Then Sunday morning came. The day of the presentation and all smiles were gone and he wouldn't sing to save his life. I think it might of had something to do with having copious amounts of sugar and staying up all night after a fun filled evening at the Trunk-or-Treat. Oh well live and learn.

Trunk-Or-Treat

Donaven decided last fall that he wanted to be a penguin for Halloween.

I thought it would be fun to dress up as a family. What would go better with a penguin that Mary Poppins and Chimney Sweeps?

We set up a ring toss in the trunk with my spooky
ghost lanterns and passed out treats.

I manned the trunk and Brandon took the boys around collecting goodies. It was so much fun. I can't wait for next year. Starting to plan it as we speak! I hope you had a spooktakular Halloween!!!

Halloween Decor on a Dime

I love Halloween but for some reason I don't really have any decor to decorate with. With us being on a really tight budget at the moment I decided to to get a little creative and decorate anyway diy style. Using pinterest as my go to idea guide, this is what I came up with.

Pumpkin Patch

There is this amazing pumpkin patch in Pittsburgh, that Tiffany Angus took Donaven to when I was on bed rest, while pregnant with Emerson. She invited us all to go again with her this year and I am so glad that we did!

We started with a hay ride around the grounds.

Then scaled the hay mountain.

There were so many fun things to do. Slides, zip-line, an obstacle course,
games, and much more!

What an awesome way to kick off the fall season with friends!

Touch-A-Truck

Over Conf. weekend one of our favorite community events, Touch-A-Truck/Feed a Family took place at the Longview Fair Grounds. We all had a great time seeing some fun trucks.

And a few familiar faces...

Donaven was elated to get a penguin painted on his face.

Time is getting away from me. Take a look at how much my Donaven has grown from a few Touch-A-Truck's ago (2009).

Arrrgghhh!
Pirate Captain Donaven
of the seven seas...

Me treasure.

"What would you do with a scurvy pirate?"

"Make them walk the plank!!!"
